Description
This is a pair of Bronze Bookends with an Art Deco Influence from the 1930s and William F Boogar (1893-1958) and they are based on the Aesops Fable The Fox and the Grapes - one shows the fox looking at the grapes and the other shows him trying to eat the grapes. Instaed of admitting defeat he decides they are undesirable - hence the term "Sour Grapes". They measure approx 6 3/8" tall and approx 4 1/2" x 2 7/8" at base - nice patina and in good pre-owned condition.AUCTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
