19C RUSSIAN BRONZE TROIKA GROUPCAST BY C.F. WOERFFEL IN ST. PETERSBURG FROM THE MODEL BY VASILII GRACHEV ( 1831 - 1905 )
On a naturalistic oval base, realistically cast as a coachman driving a troika, with two passengers at his back,
signed on base in Cyrillic GRACHEV and with foundry mark FABR. C.F. WOERFFEL.
Size: 10 1/2" x 6 1/4" ( 26,5 x 16 cm ) , 4 1/2" ( 11,5 cm ) height.
Medium brown patina.
Has some missing rope attached to horses, but doesn’t affect entire composition
