Description

Japanese silver jewelry box, ca 1910. Rectilinear with straight sides and loose trefoil handle with petal mounts on top. Sides and top have engraved fans with cranes, dahlias, and landscapes. Front has two hinged doors with ornamental strap hinges and scrolled and hinged bracket finial. Interior has three black-lacquered graduated drawers with same handles and mounts, and green velvet lining. Same lacquer on door interiors and box underside. For special keepsakes. Japanese marks.
