  • Condition: Hi this lion used to have a base and there are 3 threaded holes on bottom. The lion is vintage but it does look like the patina may have been a chemical wash/ there is some green verdigris that looks more applied than from age. The lion is in very good condition with no dents, cracks, scratches or repairs.

    Description

    Hi this is an antique bronze or brass lion sculpture that weighs 17 pounds.  It has great detail and has three threaded holes at the bottom
    where it was attached to a marble base or perhaps a clock.   I posted this a while ago for a week and I had not cleaned it up at all; it was
    black with patina and some places put a fake patina on stuff and I was not sure of how old it was.   I decided to touch it up with some steel
    wool and the patina was not fake but a lot of age.   The screw hole also look old.   This is nice piece with some cool details.  It measures
    13 3/4" tall, 9 1/2" deep and 7" wide.
