Antique Lain Chang Chinese Sterling Silver Etched Birds Prey 3 Piece Tea Set.
This is a beautiful three piece set consisting of a lidded teapot measuring 5” tall and with a base 4” x 3.5”. The teapot is etched on one side with a hawk or vulture on a branch and with a rooster on the reverse. The open sugar measures 3.25” to the top of the handle with a base 3” x 3.25”. It is also etched with a vulture hawk on one side and the rooster on the other. Finally the cream pitcher is 3” high to the top of the handle with a base 2.75” x 3” and with the same repeated etchings. All three pieces are marked for Lian Chang which was a silversmith/ retailer located in Shanghai China. All pieces are in excellent condition. Total weight is 587 grams.
