    Description

    This is sculptor William Otto's Bronze Saber Tooth Tiger from the 1960s on what looks to be a piece of petrified wood. Sculpted from La Brea Tarpit specimen in Los Angeles California. The Copyright at the bottom is William Otto's identifier. These were sold at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Animal: Smilodon or Sabre Tooth Tiger. The cat is about 3 inches long, a wonderful edition to pre-historic mammal figurines
    the sculpture is inspired by excavated skeletons (fossils) from the Pleistocene "epoch" era by the Las Angeles county museum.
    Overall it is an educational piece for paleontology enthusiasts or collectors
