    Description

    This medium-sized bowl was made in the 1930s by a silversmith with the initials KTS.
    Decorated with the classic Djokja Lotus and other flowers. The combination of all types of flowers in one bowl makes this a rare bowl.
    Provenance: Bought at an antique shop in Maastricht, the Netherlands.

    Weight: 223 grams or approx. 7.17 Troy ounces. (Including the light weight wood inside).

    The name Djokja / Yogya silver originates from the town name of Djokjakarta, Java, Indonesia.
    Between 1930 and 1970, a lot of silver was made in Kota Gede, a town next to Djokjakarta.
    All Djokja silver are hand made and therefore every piece is unique.
