Fine CHINESE EXPORT Silver CIGARETTE PACK BOX-Chinese Character-Heavy-Marked EC

Description

Up for bid is a Chinese export silver cigarette pack box. The box is 3 inches tall by 2 ¼ inches wide by 1 1/8 inches deep and weighs a substantial 126 grams.  It has a flip-top lid, hinged on the left side as shown.  It has an engraved Chinese character on one side and a western “H.W” monogram on the other.  It is marked [STERLING] with what looks like [EC.] and [?S]
Condition on the piece is good.  There are just a couple of small shallow dings.  A good piece of Chinese export silver.
