Lionel 1664e(2-4-2) Prewar Locomotive & 1689T Tender. Here’s a nice matching prewar pair in Gunmetal Gray that’s been gently cleaned, sanitized, completely serviced and test operated. The Locomotive motor has been cleaned of all old carbon deposits, the armature face and commutator slots have been cleaned and polished, a new set of brushes installed, and the direction/Eunit has been serviced and cycles correctly for proper forward and reverse operation. The headlamp has been rewired and a new bulb installed. All linkage and running gear have been cleaned and lubricated . The paint is excellent with only some very minute scratches, no rust anywhere on the entire unit, the number boards are nice and bright and the ornamental bell, whistle,handrails and classification lamps with green jewels are all excellent. The Tender is a NON-whistling unit and has some scratches in the paint from many years of use . The trucks have been serviced and the mechanical rear coupler operates correctly.
