Description

Lionel 1666e (2-6-2) Prewar Locomotive & 1689W Tender. This nice old gunmetal, prewar pair have been cleaned, sanitized, completely serviced and test operated. The Locomotive motor has been completely serviced with new brushes installed,the direction/Eunit has been serviced and cycles correctly for proper forward and reverse operation. The headlamp has been rewired and a new bulb installed. All linkage and running gear have been cleaned and lubricated. Cosmetically, the gray paint is very good , cab number boards are nice , handrails, ornamental bell and whistle are all in very good condition and both classification lamps with green jewels are intact. The tender trucks have been serviced and the rear truck rewired, whistle motor has been serviced and the whistle now operates . Cosmetically there are some issues with the paint on the roof and the front panel , but otherwise not bad at all, and the lettering boards are still legible.
