  • Condition: Tested and in running condition both forward and reverse with remote direction control via the E-unit. It has a working headlight and custom installed back up light on the tender. The locomotive includes a smoke stack. The whistling tender may need to be run on a higher wattage transformer, it works by itself but does not engage when running with the locomotive, an 80 Watt Lionel transformer was used for testing. The other possibility is a replacement solenoid that fires the air whistle. Both shells have been cleaned and have signs of wear from use and age. The tender has more spots where paint has chipped off. One step on the tender is broken off. Pictures taken with and without camera flash. Track not included.

    One (1) LIONEL 681 Steam Turbine 6-8-6 and 2046W-50 Whistling Tender Backup Lts 1950-51.
