POSTWAR LIONEL 2041 ROCK ISLAND ALCO  AA DIESEL LOCOMOTIVE SET
LOT DESCRIPTION:
As the title says this lot consists of a POSTWAR  LIONEL 2041 ROCK ISLAND  ALCO, AA DIESEL LOCOMOTIVE SET. Made in 1969 the set comes with a two position e-unit, traction tires, headlight and fixed couplers which is all correct for this unit. It is all original Post War Lionel.
DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION:
Set is in great shape. The plastic shells are fine, no cracks, breaks or chips. Front coupler aprons are perfect!  The colors, side stripes and lettering and numbers all clear and sharp except the ISLAND on the left side of the power unit is slightly faded.  About the only real mark on the entire set is a small scratch on the nose of the dummy unit just to the right of the headlight, it may look like a crack in the picture but its just a small scratch.    Trucks and rollers in great shape. No serious issues here at all. Again, this is great  looking set that IMHO I would rate as in C-7 excellent plus  condition but take a good look at the pictures and you be the judge.
WORKING CONDITION:
I have, cleaned, lubed and tested the set and it runs and reverses perfectly, e-unit cycles just fine.
