Description
A charming antique Indian solid silver mustard pot, of Kutch (Gujarat) craftsmanship, densely decorated with scrolling foliate forms, British Raj era, circa late 1800s, no monogram and of good weight. This is a rarity. Kutch silver of this quality does not come up for sale very often.Good gauge, high purity solid silver (tests as .925 or better) of barrel form, with applied scrolled handle, all-over decorated in repousse and chased relief with the coriander-leaf pattern typical of Kutch decoration and with the gorgeous soft patina of antique silver.

: No maker's mark. No monogram or removals.

: 1860 - 1890s.
Condition
: Excellent. No wear, splits or repairs. Two minor bends to the footrim. Please refer to images for cosmetic condition.

: The pot is just under 3 inches (7.3 cm) high to the top of the handle.
