Antique Vienna Franz Bergman Bronze Slave Trader Arab Man Carpet Seller Mechanical
For bid is this antique cold painted Vienna bronze sculpture by Franz Bergman “Slave Trader”.  Depicting an Arab man carpet seller with surprise nude woman slave.  This is mechanical with hinged arm.  Swing it open and reveal the slave woman. Amazing detail and quite a conversation piece.  Clearly hallmarked and signed Nam Greb which Bergman used on his naughty pieces.  Dates to early 1900’s.  Rug measures 5 3/8” by 4 1/8” and figures are 4 1/2” tall.  Only flaw noted is normal paint loss commensurate with age.  Someone glued felt to the bottom but I removed it to reveal one of the signatures.  Weighs over 2 pounds not boxed.  I will include the felt in case you want to glue it back in place and protect your table surface.
