This item appears to me to be in Good condition . There is general wear due to use and age. One of the dog/wolf heads are loose from the stand the other two are secure. This does not take away from the beauty of this item. We ask that you check all photos carefully to determine the condition of the item for yourself. I do not polish any brass/bronze items I leave them with the aged look that they have earned over time and let the buyer determine if they want it polished and cleaned up or as is. I have this listed as vintage art deco/ nouveu styled because I could not confim the antique status on this item. I truly believe that it is an old piece but like I said with my research I could not find enough infromation on this exact piece. That being said this item would be great to add to a art deco/ nouveu home decor, as a beautiful piece of art itself on a bookshelf or desk, or to give as a gift.
