Vintage Original Art Cast Bronze Bird Sculpture Soaring Bald Eagle Artist Signed

This auction is for an amazingly realistic bronze casting of a Bald Eagle in flight.
It is signed by the listed artist
Michael D'Ambrosi
, and is a miniature of the larger life-sized sculpture that greets visitors to the city of Cave Creek, AZ.  The final picture above shows the original in Cave Creek.
Michael D'Ambrosi is an American artist born in 1954 to sculptor Jasper D'Ambrosi
and for a time co-owned Arizona Bronze foundry with his brother, Marc.  Together they completed a commission begun by their father -
Jacobs Ladder,
a twenty foot memorial honoring the Merchant Marines of World War II.
It is on public display at Los Angeles Harbor in San Pedro.  In 1989 the U.S. Air Force commissioned Michael to create
The Falcon,
now on display at Luke Air Force Base near Phoenix.
Today Michael spends his time creating in his studio in Cave Creek, and is well represented by Blue Coyote Gallery of Cave Creek.
This bronze is a limited edition artist's original, not a reproduction knock-off.  It is marked number III on the base.    The detail is sharp and crisp, the patina absolute perfection, the casting is securely mounted on a 2" slab of sandstone.   Dimensions of this piece are 14" overall height including base, the Eagle's wingspan is just under 16", the circle that the Eagle is mounted to is about 12" diameter, and the depth of the piece is about 8 1/2". The Eagle's body is 6 1/2" long - beak to tail.   It is heavy - about 15 pounds - and will be packaged for safe arrival.
Please examine pictures - taken indoor and outdoors, with and w/o flash.  Condition is near-perfect.  Only the slightest soiling visible on the stone base.  This sculpture is a good size for displaying on a shelf or pedestal. It has eye-pleasing presence without overwhelming.  See pictures for display appeal.
