Antique style vintage BRONZE BOY PUTTI FIGURAL DRAGON FISH CANDLE HOLDER. Bronze boy with his foot up on what looks like a Japanese mythical lion dragon fish that he has slayed. Beautiful patina! I do not see an artist signature but there are some scratches in the base that might be initials. I have not been able to find any comparable to this so rare. Condition is very good. No cracks, breaks or repairs. There is some candle residue at the candle cup. I have tried to remove most of it so not as much as in the photo. May need further cleaning. I believe this is a cast piece rather than hand sculpted. There are some white dot areas on the outside and quite a bit seen inside the candle cup which I believe may be the start of oxidation/verdigris that you would see in aging brass. Measures 16 1/2" T x 6 1/2" 3 feet, rectangular base. Candle opening 1 1/8". Weight 8 lbs. 3 oz.(25)
